Volunteer Profiles

ELDERGIVERS' volunteers are as varied as the Bay Area population. They represent a wide AGE range from young mothers with babes in arms to nonagenarians. We don't have any centenarians at this time, but would welcome them!

Like the rich cultural tapestry of the Bay Area, ELDERGIVERS' volunteers reflect a real diversity
of ETHNICITY — Latino, Asian, Pacific Islanders, Caucasian, African American, you name it, we've got it. All individuals who work through ELDERGIVERS to enrich the lives of elders and, in turn, to be enriched by their lives, have respect for human life in all its forms.

GENDER is skewed only because there are apparently more women than there are men who
have the time or the inclination to develop new relationships — especially among strangers. To
the women who are involved in ELDERGIVERS as volunteers, thank you! And to the men
especially, we welcome and appreciate your involvement. There are many males in nursing homes
who would love to have male companionship.

Whoever you are, if you:
